US-based research firm Smarty Pants has hired Parsa Taheri as an analyst, bringing academic and clinical research skills to support toy & game, entertainment and technology clients.
Taheri (pictured) brings seven years of 'hands-on human research experience' and more than five years of data analysis to the role of 'Insights Whiz'. She worked at New York University on a narrative-based education initiative, then moved to a clinical research role at a Minneapolis hospital's research institute, contributing to participant recruitment, data collection, and management for a longitudinal study on maternal cognition. She graduated in Psychology from Bard College, and holds a master's degree in Experimental Psychology from the University of Houston, where she led independent projects that investigated the influence of experiences and systems on young children's behavior.
'Quant Savant' Dr Michelle Poris says of the hire: 'We are excited to add Parsa to our growing team. Her graduate psychology training, advanced quantitative modeling skills, and qualitative background have helped her hit the ground running and make an immediate impact for our clients'.
