New Marketing Chief for IDG

Market intelligence and tech analyst company International Data Group (IDG) has a new CMO. Michelle Boockoff-Bajdek, formerly of Skillsoft, will lead the global marketing strategy for the IDC and Foundry brands.

Michelle Boockoff-BajdekIDG has operations in more than 50 countries, under two business units, analyst-backed research and proprietary data firm International Data Corporation (IDC) and communications and publishing wing Foundry. IDG was sold to investment giant Blackstone three years ago for $1.3 billion.

Boockoff-Bajdek joins the group's Executive Leadership Team, reporting directly to CEO Genevieve Juillard. As CMO and Chief Sustainability Officer at Skillsoft she built and led a global marketing team responsible for driving brand awareness, customer preference and company growth.

Prior to Skillsoft, where she worked for nearly five years, Boockoff-Bajdek served as the CMO of IBM Watson and led global business marketing for IBM subsidiary The Weather Company. Earlier she was VP of marketing and Communications at Harte-Hanks, and spent more than six and a half years at software development firm Quaero, latterly as EVP Marketing. She is an alumna of the Marketing Academy Fellowship and holds a master's degree from Simmons University.
