In New York, ad targeting and retargeting company Criteo has announced senior promotions designed to boost its growth in the fields of retail media and performance media. Former GroupM and Xaxis leader Brian Gleason adds the title of President, Retail Media.
Criteo combines predictive software and consumer intent / purchasing data to deliver targeted ads in real time, and is led as CEO by Nielsen veteran Megan Clarken. Gleason (pictured) served as Global Chief Commercial Officer of WPP's GroupM, and before this he worked for WPP audience profiling and targeting division Xaxis. Earlier he was Group CRO for IDG TechNetwork and Consumer group. He joined Criteo in April 2022 as Chief Revenue Officer, a title he will retain alongside the new one. His expanded role includes overseeing end-to-end execution of the group's Retail Media ambitions, while continuing to lead the company's global commercial organization, driving top-line growth and expanding new client opportunities.
In addition Ryan Damon, formerly Chief Legal and Corporate Affairs Officer, takes on an expanded role as Chief Legal and Transformation Officer, overseeing transformation initiatives to further drive Criteo's Commerce Media Platform vision and execution roadmap, including its trading infrastructure and custom capabilities. Former Nielsen and Credit Suisse exec Connor McGogney, formerly EVP Corporate Development, has been promoted to Chief Business Development Officer, with a role including planning and oversight of including mergers and acquisitions, as well as forging strategic partnerships.
