AI-based analytics and intelligence company Veritone has appointed former CIA Technology Chief Gus Hunt as an advisor for its public sector division.
Veritone serves customers in the talent acquisition, media, entertainment and public sectors. It offers DMH, a media asset management and monetization tool, and an enterprise AI platform called aiWARE which uses a number of machine learning models to turn data sources into actionable intelligence. Specifically the public sector division helps government and public safety organizations improve decision-making and streamline operations.
In March this year Veritone launched a conversational intelligence solution called Ask Veri, allowing users of its Digital Media Hub (DMH) to get actionable insights from their media archive data via simple chat.
During his tenure as CTO of the CIA, Hunt (pictured) drove the adoption of new technology and the implementation of advanced technologies to support national security missions. He later served as MD at Accenture in Washington, DC, and he is currently CEO of his own consultancy, Hunt Technologies LLC, which provides private consulting services specializing in strategic IT planning, cyber and data security, big data analytics and cloud computing.
Veritone President and CEO Ryan Steelberg comments: 'Gus's deep expertise in intelligence, data analytics, technology strategy and government consulting will be invaluable as we continue to develop AI solutions that address the unique challenges faced by government agencies. His strategic insights will help us better serve our public sector clients and drive innovation'.
