NielsenIQ (NIQ) New Zealand has appointed Roger Larkins as Director of Consumer and Market Insights.
The consumer intelligence firm grew out of Nielsen's 'Buy' division, later Connect, and after spinning off from the Media arm (now simply 'Nielsen'), merged with GfK last year. The firms are majority owned by private equity investor Advent International.
Larkins brings nearly twenty years of experience in market and social research, both client and agency side and including qual, quant and mixed method studies. Most recently, he has focused on engagement with growing multicultural communities, in more than a decade as Director / MD at The Multicultural Research Agency. In earlier roles, including more than seven years as a Director at Research First, he worked on projects in the government, retail, construction, travel and tourism, financial, telecoms and pharmaceutical sectors.
'Throughout his career, Roger has demonstrated the ability to manage multiple complex projects while building long-lasting relationships with internal and external stakeholders' NIQ said in a statement. 'We are confident his background will be instrumental in delivering high-quality research outcomes that provide insights to drive strategic initiatives'.
