Thinkbox's Matt Hill to Join Sky Media Next Year

In the UK Sky Media - the broadcaster's commercial sales division - has announced the appointment of former Thinkbox Director Matt Hill as its new Director of Insight & Measurement, with overall responsibility for its measurement and insight teams and programmes, across TV and digital.

Matt HillHe replaces Lucy Bristowe, who left to join Kantar Media in May, rejoining the latter's Global CEO Patrick Béhar, who had previously served as Sky Group's Chief Business Officer.

Hill (pictured) worked earlier in his career as Research Manager at Virgin Media, and Sales and Research Executive at David Graham and Associates (Media Consultancy). In 2006 he joined UK broadcaster Channel 5 where he rose to Head of Planning and Insight as well as serving as its representative on the BARB Board. He joined UK television marketing body Thinkbox almost ten years ago as Research and Planning Director.

He starts in February, and reports to Sky Media's Managing Director Brett Aumuller who comments: 'We're thrilled to welcome Matt to the team. His impressive track record and passion for research and measurement will be invaluable for the team and our customers as we continue to innovate and lead in this rapidly changing landscape'.

While running groundbreaking and award-winning studies at Thinkbox, and developing its 'TV Masters' training programme, Hill also helped lead the collaboration among broadcasters that resulted in the wider adoption of total campaign reporting service CFlight, which was adapted for the UK market by Sky Media.
