Independent media agency Canvas Worldwide has appointed former Millward Brown, MediaCom and dentsu exec Anita Patil-Sayed as Managing Director, Head of Analytics.
US-based Canvas lists insights, analytics and data science among its core capabilities, employs around 400 people and describes itself as 'the alternative to the malaise of media holding company options'. Patil-Sayed (pictured) joins after more than thirteen years at global ad group dentsu, most recently as EVP Commercial Operations for the Americas. Earlier she worked in research roles including SVP Head of Data and Insights for the Human Truths Group at insight-driven media planning division dentsu X.
She joined dentsu from WPP where she spent more than a decade, the latter half of it as Global Customer Insights Director of MediaCom, and earlier at MRI Simmons and Millward Brown / Dynamic Logic.
On LinkedIn, the company welcomed the 'brilliant' Patil-Sayed for her 'fresh perspectives and extensive expertise'. In her new role she will lead the analytics team, drive advanced capabilities and enhance client partnerships.
