Audience measurement division Kantar Media has appointed former GroupM Director Yee Pang in the new role of Head of Measurement Strategy, North America.
Kantar Media works with panel and first-party data in more than 80 countries and conducts broadcast audience measurement in more than 60. Kantar has divested its Reputation Intelligence business and its public sector unit, now known as Verian, but Media remains part of the parent group and accounts for around 15% of its revenue.
Pang joins from WPP's GroupM, where he was Group Director, Research and Measurement. Earlier he was Client Director for Interpublic Group company Initiative, and he began his career at Publicis.
In his new role, Pang will focus on developing Kantar Media's measurement capabilities in North America and globally, including supporting the Association of National Advertisers' cross-media initiative, Aquila. Pang will also lead Kantar Media's engagement with the MRC, and work with clients and partners to advance cross-media measurement solutions.
Nicole Gileadi, Chief Strategy Officer, and Managing Director for North America comments: 'As Kantar Media continues to support marketers and agencies, Yee's deep knowledge of the buy-side's measurement needs will be invaluable. We look forward to benefiting from his significant experience as we work to advance cross-media measurement'.
