Kids and families researcher The Insights Family is expanding its commercial operations in London and has appointed Jack Day as its new Global Strategic Account Director.
Headquartered in Manchester, UK, the firm includes brands Kids Insights and Parents Insights, and provides real-time data on the attitudes, behaviour and consumption patterns of kids, teens, parents and families. This is based on interviews with c.800,000 family members each year, now from 22 countries on six continents. In January this year the company received a £5.6m investment from UK and Ireland growth capital investor BGF. Since late summer it has made a number of hires both in Manchester and in its offices in London and New York, and last month it broadened its target significantly by adding a product called NextGen Insights, tracking those aged 19-30 as they transition into adulthood.
Day (pictured) joins from another insights firm focused on the children and families market, Kids Know Best, where he was Commercial Director, and before that held senior roles at WildBrain, including Head of Partnerships. In more than ten years in the sector he has focused on forging partnerships across licensing, content, toys and FMCG.
Insights Family CEO Tom Williams comments: 'Jack's deep knowledge of the industry and his background in strategic partnership-building within the kids and family insights space will be invaluable as we continue to advance our global client portfolio. We're thrilled to welcome him to our team and look forward to the growth his expertise will bring'.
