Independent media and creative advisory firm MediaSense has appointed former Accenture Song exec Jamie Posnanski as CEO, replacing co-founder Graham Brown who moves to the role of Executive Chairman.MediaSense was founded by Andy Pearch and Graham Brown in 2009 and operates a media auditing platform called DiPA (Digital Performance Analytics), powered by a proprietary insight engine, machine learning techniques and a team of analysts and data scientists. The firm bought PwC's Marketing & Media advisory team earlier this year, and last month acquired creative and media advisory specialist R3, significantly expanding its footprint in North America and Asia. MediaSense has been majority-owned since 2021 by private equity firm Apiary Capital.
Posnanski (pictured right) founded a digital agency called avVenta, and sold it to Accenture Interactive (now Accenture Song) in 2012 - he then took charge of the division's content, digital media, personalization, CRM, commerce and marketing operations, and helped to build it into a $12bn digital agency, also playing a significant part in Song's acquisitions and integrations.
Brown (left) says Posnanski's 'proven leadership record, industry knowledge and expertise make him the ideal successor to lead MediaSense into and through its next phase of growth'. He adds: 'I am delighted to have found my successor and am excited to have attracted such a talent as Jamie to MediaSense. His strategic vision and proven leadership skills, combined with his wealth of experience and integrity make him the ideal person for this role'.
