In the US, the Marketing Research Association (MRA) has appointed David Almy as its new Chief Executive Officer, following the departure in January of Larry Brownell who returned to his Los Angeles home.
Most recently, Almy worked as VP Membership, Marketing & Communications at the National Air Transportation Association, prior to which he spent 8 years at the National Business Aviation Association in senior marcoms positions.
During his career, he has commissioned and led research efforts using Harris Interactive, JD Power and Associates, and the Dallas Marketing Group, among others, to conduct membership and aviation industry research.
'I am honored and excited to have the opportunity to contribute to the success of MRA's members, its chapters and this exceptional community,' Almy said. 'Marketing research is at the heart of how the best organizations discover how to be more successful in their markets, and our members are the best in the world at discovering why. It's an exciting field with a great future.'
Since leaving, Brownell has taken up the post of CEO at the Association of Film Commissioners International (AFCI) in Los Angeles.
