In the US, MarketTools has added five firms to its TrueSample Quality Council, which it set up in 2008 to improve its online quality technology.
TrueSample was launched earlier that year, to identify and remove fake, duplicate and unengaged respondents from research samples.
The TrueSample Quality Council's members meet twice a year, to discuss ways of promoting transparency and consistency in the research supply chain.
New members include market researchers from Capital One, e-Rewards, Samsung Electronics, Unilever and Western Wats. With the addition of these companies, the council now comprises representatives from 10 companies.
