MediaCom's Fyfe to Lead Social Media Monitoring Team

In the UK, WPP-owned MediaCom has promoted Peter Fyfe to the newly created role of Head of Social Media, to lead a team of ten social media specialists focusing on monitoring, consultancy, campaign activation and community management.

Peter FyfeMediaCom's network comprises 4,600 employees based in more than 110 offices in nearly 90 countries around the world. The new team sits within the 40-strong MediaCom Beyond Advertising (MBA) team, which focuses on non-traditional marketing activities such as content creation.

Fyfe joined in 2006, and most recently served as Associate Director and digital content specialist, heading the Mobile & Emerging Platform team. Prior to this, he was Communications Planner at planning and buying agency PHD Rocket, and a Media Planner/Buyer at ad agency Banks Hoggins O'Shea.

MBA Managing Partner Nick Cohen, to whom he will report, says Fyfe has played a vital role in the development of the group's social media business over the past two years.
