DIY research firm SurveyMonkey has opened a new operation in Brazil, where it has appointed Monster's former Director of Sales Rodolfo Ohl as Country Manager.
Founded in 1999 and based in Portland, Oregon, SurveyMonkey provides online subscription-based DIY survey tools that enable people to create surveys, collect responses and analyze results.
At the end of last year, the company acquired research software and services firm MarketTools, and while financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, sources claimed the deal valued SurveyMonkey at roughly $1 billion.
Ohl joins from recruitment site Monster, for whom he was initially responsible for establishing a presence in Brazil, and then driving and managing the sales team. Prior to this, he was the Business Unit Manager at job search portal Catho Online; and earlier he served as Business Partnership Development Manager at HR portal Treinare.com.br.
