US-based Decipher has enhanced its DIY survey software Beacon with a mobile field reporting function, allowing users customized access to their data while they are on the move.
Mobile survey features were added to the tool last September, allowing users to deploy surveys on a range of mobile devices including phones and tablet PCs, and providing appropriate and optimized survey styles based on auto-detection of the type of device each respondent is using. Beacon has also recently added an integrated digital fingerprinting solution to assist with quality control.
The new field reporting tool offers nearly all the functionality of Beacon's standard field report module, including screens for completions, campaigns, terminates, drop-outs, quotas, sorting and filter options, and direct emailing of field reports to clients or partners.
Jayme Plunkett, co-CEO of Decipher, sums up: 'We know our clients often are conducting research in the field and spending quite a bit of time away without access to a computer, so we saw the need to offer real-time field statistics in a mobile friendly format. Our new mobile reporting allows users to view survey field data efficiently on small screens, giving them on-the-go access to evaluate how their surveys are fielding.'
