In the US Gongos, Inc. has launched a third business unit, Arti|fact, to sit alongside primary research division Gongos Research and data sciences division O2 Integrated. The firm has appointed Amy Perifanos to lead the new unit and re-hired Brett Bridges as a Director.
Arti|fact is positioned as a specialist in 'insight curation', making the most of the knowledge inside organizations by helping them to preserve, share and position it - the last includes making it more 'consumable, immersive and memorable'.
Perifanos until now worked as an account strategist and curator for Gongos Research, having joined the company from the Kohler Co, where she led market research initiative. She holds an M.S. in Marketing from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Gongos says her work with insight curation, which she has presented and co-authored on since early 2013, has been a key factor in the group's decision to launch the new unit.
In her new role she will lead a multi-disciplinary team of writers, curators, videographers, and information designers, and also joins the Gongos Enterprise Strategy team.
Bridges recently returned to Gongos from Safeway, where he was Manager, Consumer & Shopper Insights. Before Safeway, he worked at Dell, which he joined after a previous spell of three years at Gongos Research - he is a former colleague of Perifanos. He holds an MBA from the University of Michigan. As Director of Arti|fact, Bridges will help to get the practice running and to develop its proprietary dynamic insights platform.
Nicita says of the launch: 'Knowledge at rest stays at rest - Arti|fact will bring wisdom to the surface - and put it in motion - inside organizations in a fresh, provocative way.' Perifanos herself comments: 'Infographical journeys, video documentaries, insight portals, animations, and insight integration initiatives all can move organizations beyond single-objective, point-in-time deliverables.'
