Digital measurement specialist comScore has been awarded Media Rating Council (MRC) accreditation for video viewability measurement in the Ad Validation suite of its validated Campaign Essentials (vCE) solution.
The vCE metric measures whether online ads have been delivered and whether they have reached their target audience. comScore's video viewability system removes invalid traffic for video ad impressions, and today's award expands on the solution's existing MRC accreditation for display ad viewability, engagement, brand safety and geography.
George Ivie, Executive Director and CEO of the MRC, comments: 'The Viewable Ad Impression Measurement Guidelines are aimed at providing standards for the industry to follow to ensure quality measurements for display and digital video advertising. We congratulate comScore for meeting the rigorous standards necessary to earn MRC accreditation for its video advertising measurement solution'.
