Former Nielsen exec Istvan Hajnal has joined GfK to lead its Marketing and Data Sciences team in Belgium.
GfK Belgium was formed through the merger of four companies: GfK Audimetrie, GfK Panel Services, GfK Retail and Technology, and Significant GfK. Hajnal (pictured) joins with more than twenty years' experience in the fields of data analysis, survey methodology and market research.
For the past two years, he has run his own market research and big data analytics consultancy, Hajnalytics, before which he served as Director Research and Development at online research agency iVOX. Previously, he worked at Nielsen for more than ten years, latterly as VP of the Global Statistics Training COE, where he co-ordinated all training efforts for the statistics departments across areas such as retail measurement, consumer panels, media, online, mobile and print. Earlier, he was Head of Statistics Northern Europe for Nielsen, overseeing statistical operations in Benelux, Ireland, the UK and Scandinavia.
