In the US, speech and text analytics specialist Verint has acquired voice-of-customer (VoC) technology firm OpinionLab. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.OpinionLab's software collects, interprets and reports on unsolicited, open-ended customer feedback in real-time. Earlier in the year, the company upgraded its product with the addition of Collaborative Labels for individual customer feedback submissions; and Collaborative Notes, allowing internal stakeholders to annotate and discuss specific customer issues.
Through the acquisition, Verint says it has extended its Customer Engagement Optimization portfolio, broadening its ability to listen, analyze and act on VoC across digital, voice, text and social media. Sean Fallon (pictured), CEO of OpinionLab, comments: 'OpinionLab is very pleased to join forces with Verint. Now, if a customer can say it, write it or click it, Verint and OpinionLab voice of the customer solutions can collect, analyze and enable organizations to take action on it'.
