In the UK, the Market Research Society (MRS) has appointed Aviva Global Inclusion Director Jan Gooding as its new President.
Gooding (pictured) has worked for insurance company Aviva for more than eight years, in a role which includes leading, managing, and monitoring the group's brand and marketing strategy; with responsibility for advertising, customer and marketing reporting, and sharing best practice across the marketing community. During her career, she has also held senior roles with brand consultancy Antennae, BT, British Gas, and BLUEdOOR brand communications business.
She will take up the MRS role on 1st April, succeeding former Camelot CEO Diane Thompson, who will have completed her three-year term. In addition to her MRS presidency, Gooding holds non-executive positions as Chair of LGBT charity Stonewall, Chair of the Publishers Audience Measurement Company, and executive committee member of WACL (Women in Advertising and Communications London). She is already a fellow of the MRS.
