US-based web personalization software provider Monetate has appointed a CMO; and strengthened its collaboration with digital experience insights platform Contentsquare, promising global brands 'better personalisation, stronger ROI and improved lifetime value of customers.
Monetate was founded in 2008 and has offices in the US and Europe, while Contentsquare was established four years later and boasts locations in Paris, London, New York and Munich. The enhanced deal brings together the latter's 'unique ability to understand digital behaviour and identify challenges and opportunities within a consumer's online experience' with the former's programmatic personalisation engine, and offers the ability to personalize at scale based on current customer behaviour; identify top UX opportunities 'within minutes' and uncover new areas for personalisation; and create more uplift by tracking which campaigns perform well and which don't.
Contentsquare CEO and founder Jonathan Cherki says the partnership 'opens up exciting possibilities for brands who understand the retention and revenue potential of contextual personalisation'; while Monetate CEO Stephen Collins says the partners can now 'close the loop for brand marketers by allowing them to spot challenges and opportunities faster, act on them faster, and continuously evaluate their campaigns to make incremental gains in their marketing strategies'.
Separately, Monetate has appointed former AppNexus VP Lisa Kalscheur (pictured) as CMO. She became the ad tech firm's 'first marketing employee' in 2010 and worked there for almost seven years prior to its acquisition by AT&T; and spent most of 2018 and 2018 as SVP Marketing at NewsCred. Previous employers include AOL and Ziff Davis. Collins says of the move: 'Lisa Kalscheur brings rich experience in leading brands to achieve market leadership. With Lisa's global remit, she will build on her successful industry track record of driving company growth by leading teams and initiatives that best meet the nuanced marketing needs of the world's largest consumer brands'.
