US customer experience management specialist Medallia is to acquire Tel Aviv-based behavioral analytics platform Cooladata, for an undisclosed sum.
Through its proprietary big data platform and artificial intelligence (AI) engine, Cooladata can process huge datasets beyond customer surveys, to analyze non-explicit feedback and predict customer sentiment. The platform provides companies with an understanding of user behavior across multiple-channels, including data on user acquisition, churn / retention drivers and customer lifetime value.
Medallia says the acquisition will expand its own predictive journey capability. Chief Product Officer Krish Mantripragada (pictured) adds: 'We have partnered with Cooladata for a year and absolutely love their technology and team. This acquisition enables us to provide both a more complete view of the customer journey and the analytics to understand the underlying motivations required to make smarter decisions on how to improve experiences and grow customer loyalty'.
