SurveyMonkey is to acquire customer experience management company GetFeedback for approximately $68m, to help enterprise customers act on customer insights. Salesforce Ventures, an existing investor in both companies, will receive 'equity consideration' in the transaction.
San Francisco-based GetFeedback offers software to help companies understand and improve their customer experience. Founded in 2013 by Salesforce executives Sean Whiteley and Kraig Swensrud and purpose-built for the Salesforce platform, the company's feedback solutions are used by brands to monitor customer satisfaction and boost engagement.
According to SurveyMonkey, the acquisition is a 'strategic move', as it scales its enterprise offerings. Zander Lurie, CEO of SurveyMonkey, says that his firm's expertise in feedback collection and analytics combined with GetFeedback's capabilities in integrating feedback within the Salesforce ecosystem will allow SurveyMonkey to be the 'premier' customer experience solution for customers.
Craig Shull (pictured), CEO of GetFeedback, adds: 'With our combined strengths of ease-of-use and rapid deployment of customer experience programs in days not months, our customers can expect accelerated time-to-value in the market. I look forward to joining forces with the SurveyMonkey team to bring customer experience innovation to current and future enterprise customers.'
