Global management consultancy Accenture is to acquire Australian big data and analytics consultancy Analytics8 for an undisclosed sum.
Founded in Melbourne in 2002, Analytics8 provides its clients with an end-to-end service spanning the data and analytics lifecycle - including data management, reporting and visualisation, data science and advanced analytics. The company's Melbourne and Sydney-based team of 70 professionals will join Accenture Applied Intelligence, which uses AI-powered data, automation and analytics to help clients transform their businesses.
Hedde Schuitemaker (pictured), co-owner of Analytics8, said, 'We are excited about joining Accenture. Our data scientists and data analytics expertise will complement Accenture's applied intelligence capabilities and industry knowledge, allowing us to help customers further leverage data and analytics to transform their businesses'.
Earlier this week, Accenture announced it is to acquire Mexico City-based service design and strategic research firm INSITUM, following earlier acquisitions of innovation firm ?What If!, digital media services company Adaptly, and data-driven digital marketing agency Storm Digital.
