US-based insight firm LRW Group has acquired communications firm Karma Agency for an undisclosed sum.
Founded in 1999, Karma Agency is a full-service firm specializing in brand strategy and digital communications, as well as advertising, design, reputation management, issues and crisis communications, and earned and social media. Its team includes senior marketing strategists; account managers focused on PR, advertising and digital work; creative writers; art directors and designers. Following the takeover, the company will continue to operate out of its Philadelphia headquarters.
Karma Agency will operate under LRW Group's Action Division, whose President Tom Bernthal (pictured) said: 'Every day we strive to connect deep human understanding with business impact. The transaction is LRW Group's fifth acquisition in the last two years, with others including: visual communications agency Killer Infographics; consumer insights specialist Kelton Global; customer experience and culture design firm Strativity Group; social media insights company MotiveQuest; and online community specialist Tonic Insight.
