US-based insight firm LRW Group has acquired full-service agency Salt Branding, which helps clients make brands more focused and relevant to the needs of both business and consumers. Terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
San Francisco-based Salt, which was founded in 2001 by Paul Parkin, David Neugebauer and Rick Herrick, helps brands transform their organizations using 'insights, ideas and imagination', while building strong brand cultures, organizing and naming their products and services, and launching competitive go-to-market strategies.
The deal follows LRW's acquisition last week of communications firm Karma Agency, and both firms will form part of the group's Action Division. Parkin will continue to serve as Salt's Creative Director, and says that by joining this team the company will be able to give existing and potential clients more direct access to strategic insights.
Tom Bernthal, President of the Action Division, comments: 'Salt boasts a powerful reputation in the marketing community as an agency that understands brand challenges like few others and activates creative strategies to meet those challenges. By bringing Salt into the fold, we can better help our clients execute on our insights and recommendations'.
Salt, which is the sixth company acquired by LRW in the last 24 months, is online at: www.saltbranding.com , while LRW is on the web at: www.lrwgroup.com .
