UK-based insight industry language specialist RP Translate has been re-named EMPOWER Translate (Global).
Founded in 1997 by Ruth Partington, the Bristol-based firm specialises in providing bespoke MR language solutions for research agencies, corporate insight departments, marketing consultancies and drug manufacturers. Key areas of specialisation include healthcare and pharma, employee relations, business intelligence and consumer / brand relations. In October, the firm secured £150k to develop new technology.
According to the firm, the new name was chosen to align with the company's mission: 'to empower global researchers to generate accurate and actionable insights'. Partington explains: 'We conducted customer research in Q1 which reinforced for us that the company's global impact had evolved far beyond its name. Our language services and internal processes have become cutting-edge thanks to our drive for innovation. We are delighted put a new name to that exciting - but familiar - face'.
