European data collection specialist Norstat AS has appointed Sebastian Sorger as Managing Director of Norstat Germany, which covers the German, Austrian and Swiss markets. He will join on 1 March and replace Marc Leimann, who held the position for the past five years.
The firm, which was recently acquired by investment firm Triton, is headquartered in Oslo, Norway and offers consumer surveys across nineteen European countries, with more than 650,000 active panellists. It also offers face-to-face and telephone interviews, mystery shopping and focus groups.
Sorger (pictured) will join after serving as CEO of LoadFox, a joint venture between Volkswagen and Boston Consulting Group, which develops digital solutions for logistics. He began his career in the executive search industry - first as a Researcher at Valuesophic Trust, before becoming a Research Consultant at Isling International, and then a Manager at Michael Page International. After this, he held sales positions at Learnship Networks, and SHS Viveon. Sorger will replace Leimann, who has left the company and whose next position is not yet known.
Commenting on the appointment, COO Erling Eriksen said: 'We have spent a lot of time searching for the right candidate for the position of MD at Norstat Germany and it is a great pleasure to have Mr Sorger onboard. I am confident he will take excellent care of our teams in Hamburg and Munich, our clients throughout Germany and abroad and the company'.
