In North America, communities specialist Maru/Matchbox has appointed Brian James as Deputy CEO and Chief Client Officer; while Brent Snider will become Deputy CEO and Chief Revenue Officer.
The firm, which was formed when MARU Group acquired Vision Critical's North American Research Consulting division in 2016, offers access to its tech platforms to connect with customers, provide on-demand insight and combine research and analytics data sources. In November, parent company MARU Group launched a direct access insights platform called Maru/HUB, which allows users to create, view and analyze research projects 'on demand'.
James joined in 2018 as Chief Client Officer (CCO) and President of Consumer Goods and Services, having previously worked for Kantar as President of Brand Performance. Earlier, he spent more than a decade at Millward Brown, during which time, he established the company's Chicago office; led the transformation of the company's North American service delivery model; and created a new regional business by integrating two of its offices. Snider joined last September after more than twelve years at System1 Research (formerly BrainJuicer), where he latterly served as President, North America, responsible for the firm's largest business unit across five offices; having begun his career at Kantar Millward Brown.
Commenting on the promotions, Ged Parton, CEO Maru Group, said: 'We have created a differentiated value proposition with our technology based fully flexible service model. Brian and Brent will be the flag bearers of this new offering. These guys have energy, commitment and resolve, and in their new roles they will help us accelerate onwards'.
