User experience (UX) analytics platform Contentsquare has raised $190m in a Series D round of funding, which it will invest in artificial intelligence-based and predictive analytics initiatives, and to expand its business across the Americas, Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
Contentsquare helps businesses understand how and why users are interacting with their app, mobile and web sites; combining behavioural data from billions of touch and mouse movements every day with artificial intelligence to help clients to measure the impact of their actions, and optimize the customer journey. Founded in Paris in 2012, the company has since opened offices in London, New York, San Francisco, Munich, Tel Aviv, Tokyo and Singapore.
New funding has been led by BlackRock's Private Equity Partners team, which joins existing investors Bpifrance, Eurazeo Growth, Canaan, GPE Hermes, Highland Europe, H14 and KKR, and brings the total raised to date to $310m. Sapiance Capital Limited is also providing credit to the company.
Founder and CEO Jonathan Cherki (pictured) Comments: 'This investment during these uncertain times is a proof of the fantastic job our teams have done. It validates the strength of our vision for the next five years and extends our global leadership in experience analytics at a time when these capabilities are critical to all businesses'.
