Cultural insights and strategy consultancy Crowd DNA has expanded the role of its London Managing Director Matilda Andersson to include management of the business in Amsterdam.
The firm conducts commercial and thought leadership research in sectors including media, fashion retail, technology and entertainment. The team combines researchers with strategists, writers, designers and film-makers, based in offices in London, Amsterdam, New York, Sydney and Singapore.
Andersson (pictured) joined in 2015 as a Director focused on qual, trends and innovation, before moving into the position of Head of Insight and Innovation, and then for the past two years, MD London. Earlier, she worked for BBC Studios - initially serving as Insight Manager in the Content Division - co-founded consultancy Lodestar, and served as Research Manager at the Open University and BBC World Service.
Her brief now includes growing the Amsterdam team and building revenue across the region. Joey Zeelen, who has spent the past five years as part of the London Crowd DNA team, has taken up a role as Amsterdam-based lead.
Commenting on the news, founder and Group MD Andy Crysell said: 'Our ambition for the second half of 2020 and beyond is to increasingly divide our European capabilities between London and Amsterdam. This will allow us to be strategically closer to more of our key clients, and to make the most of the respective talent pools in each of these two dynamic locations'.
