In Australia, cultural insights and strategy consultancy Crowd DNA has appointed former Vice Media APAC Head of Insight Stephanie Winkler, as a Director.
Crowd DNA is a cultural insights and strategy consultancy which opened in London in 2008 and now has offices in Amsterdam, New York, Singapore and Sydney. The firm aims to create 'culturally charged commercial advantage' for its clients, by means including trend forecasting, semiotics, ethnography, data analysis and editorial.
In her new role, Winkler reports to the firm's APAC lead, Elyse Pigram, and will divide her time between Melbourne, Sydney and Singapore, helping to grow the business in ANZ and across APAC.
Winkler spent five years at Vice Media, and first worked with Crowd DNA as part of its KIN network of 'experts, creators and connectors'.
Group MD Andy Crysell says of the hire: 'We're delighted to welcome Steph to the business. Her thinking chimes with our culture-first point of view and she brings with her fantastic experience in the region - in particular, in areas of relevance to Crowd DNA such as media, youth audiences, and working with unstructured data'.
