Kantar's former virtual reality (VR) research specialist Alki Manias has joined Sydney, Australia-headquartered shopper research business StoreLab as Vice President, charged with leading the firm's expansion into the EMEA and Americas regions. He will be based in London.
StoreLab uses 3-D virtual reality research models, eye tracking, augmented reality, and visualisation solutions to help research agencies, manufacturers and retailers design stores and test packaging. Manias (pictured) joins after more than three years leading VR research globally at Kantar. Prior to this, he worked for 3-D virtual store research specialist InContext Solutions as Group Vice President Europe, Shopper & Retail Solutions. Earlier, he was VP at consumer research specialist Perception Research Services; a Director at Harris Interactive; SVP of European Sales at e-Rewards; MD at YouGovCentaur; and a Global Director at GfK Roper Consulting.
Speaking about the expansion, StoreLab co-founders Dean Hindman and Aaron Keown said: 'Our on the ground expansion into Europe and the USA further demonstrates our commitment to our global clients and a fantastic platform to offer cost effective solutions to new clients. Alki brings to us an unparalleled wealth of market and product knowledge globally, as well as trusted advisor status with many of the world's leading companies especially in FMCG and technology.'
