London-based customer data collaboration platform InfoSum has appointed its Chairman Brian Lesser as Chief Executive Officer. Company founder Nicholas Halstead will partner with Lesser as CTO, focusing on engineering, customer relationships and the 'future vision' of customer data.
InfoSum's infrastructure enables companies to collaborate across first and second-party data sets, helping them create a single system of customer identity without ever moving data between parties. Lesser (pictured) who joined the firm's Board in April, was named Executive Chairman in September, when InfoSum raised $15.1m in a Series A round of funding. He is the founder and former CEO of AT&T's analytics business Xandr, was previously North American CEO of GroupM, and was Global CEO and founding CEO of WPP's audience profiling and targeting division Xaxis.
In his new position, Lesser will lead InfoSum as it experiences revenue growth in North America and Europe, and as it expands across global markets. Mark Suster, Managing Partner of InfoSum investor Upfront Ventures, commented: 'I watched Nick build high-volume data sharing with Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn, so when he told me he invented a new privacy-first database I immediately invested. Now having an industry luminary like Brian Lesser join as CEO is huge validation for us. He oversaw data transformations at WPP and AT&T and can bring InfoSum to the enterprise'.
