Ipsos has announced the acquisition of Croatian firm Fistnet d.o.o., developer of the Dotmetrics digital audience measurement platform.
Fistnet was established in 2012 and combines big data audience measurement experts and software engineers. Dotmetrics seamlessly tracks and reports Internet traffic to participating web sites and apps and prides itself on leadership in the accurate identification of devices, an increasingly complex task according to the firm. It also provides a reporting engine and dashboard pulling in data from multiple sources.
The companies have worked together for many years in the Adria region, and an enhanced version of the Dotmetrics platform is used for Ipsos' Iris solution, appointed a year ago as the official source for Online Audience Measurement adopted by UKOM, with the contract beginning this month.
Ipsos Global CEO and Chairman Didier Truchot comments: 'At Ipsos we are proud to work with Fistnet's pool of talented and experienced site-centric technologists, software engineers and modelling experts. Together, we will accelerate the development of our advanced web and mobile measurement solutions'. Liz Landy, leader of the group's Audience Measurement Global Service Line, adds: 'The integration of Fistnet allows Ipsos to continually adapt to the changing demands of site-centric data collection, manipulation and reporting'. Meanwhile Fistnet CEO Tomislav Fistric says his firm is 'happy to become part of the Ipsos family, which we already know and love'.
