Senior Promotions at Savanta

Research and data firm Savanta has promoted Caroline Hawkings as UK Managing Director, and Barbara Gurhan to CFO, while CTO Bart Read also joins the Board.

Formed two years ago as the data and insights unit of Next15 group, the firm combines bespoke research, via its Industry and Methodology Practices; data collection and analysis including access to 100 million respondents through a proprietary technology platform; and intelligence products including the BrandVue and MarketVue reputation tracking solutions. In 2019 it bought Westminster-based research and polling firm ComRes, and a year ago added the UK business of Future Thinking. Two months ago it launched a suite of tools called Savanta Essentials, promising a low-cost, fast turnaround approach.

Hawkings is promoted from the role of EVP in Research, Insight and Consulting, specialising in the retail sector, and also sits on the firm's People Committee. Gurhan previously served as Group Finance Controller, while Read has been instrumental in leading the company's software products and services.
