UK-based insight industry language specialist Empower Translate has launched an Unstructured Data unit, providing localisation services for high volumes of participant data derived from large-scale surveys and product testing.
Re-branded in 2019, Bristol-based Empower provides bespoke MR language solutions for research agencies, corporate insight departments, marketing consultancies and drug manufacturers. Since the end of last year, the firm says it has expanded its team from sixteen to 30 members of staff.
Its new unit, comprising eleven staff, implements 'lights-out' management solutions - automating project workflow - for mass volumes of multi-market coding and verbatim translation; and offers multi-market 'adverse event' reporting for healthcare or pharma product testing. The latter could include an incident where an insight agency forwards participant responses across multiple markets and languages, with Empower then reporting any adverse events in English, for the agency to report to their clients or the relevant authorities.
MD Dan Peachey comments: 'Leveraging innovative technology and robust standard operating procedures, we have been able to respond to a previously unmet need in the industry - time- and cost-efficient localisation of high-volume, unstructured, multi-market data that greatly exceeds quality control KPIs'.
