Think HQ Brings Research Arm In-House

May 11 2021

In Australia, comms agency Think HQ has brought its research department in-house, and appointed recent recruit Pauline Ho to lead it, in the role of Strategy and Insights Manager.

Pauline HoSince launch in 2010, Think HQ has grown from a PR company into an integrated communications agency, working on projects that drive social good. Its in-house research practice, internationally certified to comply with ISO 20252:2019, will now be led by Ho (pictured), who joined in January. She previously worked at Social Ventures Australia, where as AD, Research and Evaluation she led the evaluation and strategic development of the Learning Impact Fund commissioned by the Commonwealth Bank of Australia, to test teaching and learning approaches in schools. Prior to this, she served as Research Development Manager & Senior Strategic Scanning Officer at the Institute of Safety, Compensation and Recovery Research; and she was Senior Project Officer, Research & Evaluation at the Australian Institute for Teaching and School Leadership.

In her new role, Ho develops and executes research to better understand social change and impact for CALD (culturally and linguistically diverse) communities, and to identify and drive business needs across Think HQ's content, creative and digital teams. Commenting on the news, founder and MD Jen Sharpe said: 'Pauline's approach is an ideal fit for our mission to create positive human outcomes through creating inclusive campaigns that represent and reflect every member of our multicultural society. Successful campaigns depend on understanding the audience. Pauline will help us do that even better, with research working in close quarters with our in-house teams'.
