Packaging and shopper / consumer behaviour specialist PRS IN VIVO has launched a product development research tool called InnoCompass, promising to help pinpoint ideas with the highest market potential.
PRS IN VIVO, which is owned by French research and consulting firm BVA Group, applies behavioural science to help companies predict and influence consumer choice and drive brand growth. The new InnoCompass solution has been launched for use in early-stage product development initiatives, and can also help direct the execution of the most 'likely to succeed' products, even from early iterations of a pack.
The tool also offers plug-in solutions for pricing, range optimisation, shelving and volume forecasting. Senior Director Carlos Gallardo (pictured) comments: 'At PRS IN VIVO, we are convinced that the right execution of a new product is crucial to ensure its in-market success. However, execution is often overlooked at the early stages of the development process, where the written concept remains the focus. Using our expertise in packaging insight and behavioural sciences, along with automated yet highly adaptive tools, our InnoCompass service will put clients on the right track for successful innovation launches'.
