In New York, customer experience and analytics specialist Accenture Interactive has appointed David Droga, founder of ad agency Droga5, as Chief Executive Officer and Creative Chairman, effective September 1st. He replaces Brian Whipple, who is retiring.
Droga5 was founded in 2006 and acquired by Accenture in 2019. The firm has won more than 25 Agency of the Year awards and was recently chosen as Agency of the Decade by both Adweek and AdAge. Earlier, Droga was Worldwide Chief Creative Officer of the Publicis Network and he held creative leadership roles across agencies in the UK, Asia and Australia - including at Saatchi & Saatchi.
He will take over from Whipple, who has led Accenture Interactive for the last ten years, having earlier been COO of consumer and cultural insights at Hill Holliday, SVP at RAPP, and a Consultant at Accenture. Julie Sweet, CEO of Accenture, comments: 'I would like to thank and recognize Brian Whipple for his foundational role in building Accenture Interactive's strong business, driving its rapid growth and for pioneering a disruptive business model that will continue redefining the industry. David's global perspective and unmatched creative track record allows us to help clients unlock business and human outcomes in unprecedented ways'.
