Australia's professional insights association the Research Society has appointed Angus Hunter as Chief Executive Officer, replacing Elissa Molloy, who led the society for more than sixteen years.
Previously known as the AMSRS, the Research Society supports research, insights, CX and analytics professionals throughout their careers. As well as more than 2,000 individual members, the organisation has 100 company and client partners, with all members committed to and regulated by the Research Society Code of Professional Behaviour.
Hunter (pictured) joins with more than twenty years' operational and marketing leadership experience. Most recently, he was Digital Delivery Manager at the NSW Department of Education, prior to which, he was General Manager of Aperion Law, the Sydney Film School and gambling company Tabcorp. Earlier, he ran his own marketing and management consulting business. Molloy's next move has not been confirmed to DRNO, although her LinkedIn profile states that she is now Director of ISO Audit Solutions.
Hunter comments: 'I am excited to become the CEO of The Research Society. I have been a buyer and consumer of many forms of research throughout my career and have first-hand experience of how good research can drive positive decisions and outcomes for business and government and their customers. I look forward to working with our members, and the Board to maintain and develop relevant and meaningful member services.'
