UK-based research and data business Delineate has announced senior management changes, with founder James (JT) Turner moving from the CEO role to that of President; COO Ben Leet stepping up to CEO; and former employee Chris Bunyan returning as Product Director.
Delineate makes 'live, accurate and actionable' brand and campaign tracking data available to CMOs and their marketing and insight teams, via a platform connected to consumer panels with access to respondents in more than 130 countries.
In his new role, Turner will shift his focus to strategy, partnerships and platform development. Leet (pictured) joined the company in 2018 from a UK leadership role at YouGov, and as a Board member has played a key role in the business's operational success and customer focus to date.
Bunyan, formerly of Black Swan Data, Attest and Kantar, returns to Delineate as Product Director bringing in-depth expertise in data products and platform development. He will oversee developments which the company says constitute 'the final stage of its transition to become an SaaS platform solution', with clients given direct access to its real-time data platform, along with an enhanced suite of services.
Turner comments: 'I founded Delineate with the intention of harnessing the power of technology to improve research. That's what our platform has been doing for our clients for the last three years, but now I want to focus on what I love doing, building products that help clients'. Board Chair Paul Edwards says Leet has 'all the skills the business needs for this next phase', and explains: 'The shift to a platform-based business model has been coming for some time, and the platform is already powering so much of the work. By creating greater focus, the team are not only ensuring they are fit for the future but are fulfilling the vision JT set out when he founded the company almost four years ago'.
