The Market Research Society of India (MRSI) has appointed former BARC India exec Derrick Gray as Vice President.
MRSI was formed in 1988, aiming to guide, encourage and uphold quality standards for users and providers in the market research industry. Gray (pictured) joins with more than twenty years' audience measurement experience. Most recently, he was Chief of Measurement Science & Business Analytics at BARC India. Before this, he spent more than fourteen years at broadcast measurement and consumer behavior data specialist Numeris in Canada, latterly as Senior Director, Audience Measurement Science; and he began his career as a Senior Marketing Analyst at HEPCOE Credit Union (now Meridian Credit Union).
Earlier this year, Gray was named Chair of the Professional Standards Committee at the MRSI, tasked with helping guide the committee in ensuring ethical and professional standards for the Indian MR industry. He previously served on the Board of Directors of the Marketing Research and Intelligence Association (MRIA) of Canada. Nakul Chopra, CEO of BARC India, commented: 'We wish Derrick all the success for this new role and look forward to him guiding market research in India to even greater heights'.
