Sports sponsorship measurement specialist FanAI has raised $3m in a Series A extension round, which it will use to expand its attribution services for marketers.
FanAI connects audience data - such as ticket sales, digital behavior, and television and streaming views - with customer purchase data. Using this combined resource, the platform provides media channel segmentation for a view into where fans are watching sports events and which fans are spending. In August, the firm launched audience segments which allow users to target fans of a specific sports personality by region.
New funding has been led by OneTeam Partners, Wasserman and Tech Coast Angels, adding to the firm's previous $8m in a Series A funding round. Johannes Waldstein (pictured), FanAI co-founder and CEO comments: 'We have pioneered attribution for the sports sponsorship market and through this investment we will be able to expand both the breadth and depth of our offering'.
