Screen Engine/ASI Buys London's Tapestry Research

Los Angeles-based entertainment MR firm Screen Engine/ASI (SE/ASI) has acquired London-based custom MR agency Tapestry Research. Terms of the deal have not been disclosed.

Tapestry offers segmentation, consumer decision journeys, market sizing and proposition testing, campaign contribution, media and audience research for global media, entertainment and tech companies. The firm was co-founded in 2014 by Kevin Thompson and Ian Wright, who will continue to lead the company as Joint Managing Directors, and who will also join the SE/ASI management team as Executive Vice Presidents.

SE/ASI's portfolio includes PostTrak, an in-theatre exit polling service which is a joint venture with Comscore; NET Tracker, a quarterly study on consumer behavior and attitudes; PostVod, offering weekly viewer data on original movies; VirtuWorks, a virtual screening research platform; and Audience Engine, developed with custom audience solutions company Dstillery.
