London-based mobile research and sample specialist On Device Research has hired Jonathan Clark for a newly created role, Chief Growth Officer. Clark is tasked with increasing membership of the firm's proprietary consumer panel, Curious Cat App.
Founded in 2009 by former M:Metrics execs Alistair Hill and Tim Cleminson, On Device uses proprietary technology to deliver targeted data from profiled global panels. In December, the company launched a respondent quality and fraud prevention system called Behaviour Trap, to enhance the quality of data provided to brands, advertising agencies and media owners.
Clark (pictured) joins with more than twenty years' marketing, product and commercial experience in digital consumer businesses. Most recently, he was MD at consulting and martech platform Serpico. Earlier, he served as Marketing Director at eCommerce analytics platform Zeenk; Marketing Director at blinkbox Movies; CMO at mobile music service Bloom.fm; Head of social media network Friends Reunited (acquired by ITV); and Customer Acquisition and Development Manager at the Financial Times.
In his new role, Clark will focus on driving further engagement and revenues across the UK and US; while leading the Marketing and Engagement team to acquire and retain users. Hill comments: 'It's great to have Jonathan join us at such a crucial stage in the company's development. He joins a growing team which has doubled in size over the last eighteen months to support a business growth of over 40% in 2021. We look forward to expanding our Curious Cat userbase and in turn, offer an increasing suite of research products supported by this growth'.
