UK-based group Cello Health has sold its Digital Technology Advisory Group Ltd (DTAG), which includes 2CV, The Value Engineers (TVE) & Signal Agency, to private equity firm Vespa Capital.
DTAG will continue as an independent business, with its three well-established brands 'preserved and promoted' and its Board keeping its current members - CEO Mark Scott, Alison Drake as Finance Director, and Tim Blandford, Paul Gaskell and Barney Hosey as CEOs of their respective businesses. Investor directors Tom Chaloner and Katya Hawrylak from Vespa will now join them.
DTAG was formed in 2020 to help clients understand the digital consumer, and employs 250 people in offices in Europe, the US and Asia. Vespa focuses on investing in and supporting B2B services businesses.
Cello Health was itself acquired in August 2020 by private equity firm Arsenal Capital Partners. Just over a year ago it merged its B2B specialist Breaking Blue Research with consumer specialist 2CV under the latter brand name.
Scott comments: 'We are excited to be joining forces with Vespa Capital to grow DTAG into a leadership position as an advisor to the world's leading brands around how they understand and engage with technology driven customers'. Katya Hawrylak, Investment Director of Vespa Capital, comments: 'We're delighted to join DTAG as investment partners and are looking forward to supporting Mark and the team as they continue to provide mission critical insight and advice across the digital marketing spectrum. We have been continually impressed by the quality and breadth of DTAG's offering through their brands 2CV, TVE and Signal, and the growth potential for the Group'.
