UK-based consumer and sensory research agency PPL Insights and France-based consumer and shopper research specialist Strategir have formed a joint venture, to provide a broad range of research services linking all elements of the consumer journey.
PPL Insights offers techniques for concept testing, new product development, packaging / design, pricing and product testing across FMCG categories including drinks, toiletries and beauty products; while Strategir focuses on exploring the reasons why people behave the way they do, across different cultures and markets. Founded in 1986, Strategir now also has offices in the UK, Germany, and Italy; as well as partnerships in North America, Mexico, Latin America, Eastern and Central Europe, Sub Saharan Africa, Western Africa and Asia.
Through the JV, the firms will accompany clients along the innovation path, using their expertise in areas such as sensory and consumer product, pack and shelf testing, with their proprietary offerings and digital and virtual solutions. Yvonne Taylor, MD at PPL Insights, says that by joining forces the companies can offer clients a 'truly holistic' approach to the consumer experience.
Strategir CEO Emmanuel Delsuc adds: 'Strategir has built its own network for almost fifteen years and can count thirteen offices around the world. The combined Strategir and PPL synergy is intended to go further to unlock the consumer truth for our clients in the fields mastered by PPL and extended to those of Strategir, that will bring tested and proven ad hoc and innovative approaches'.
