WPP has announced a leadership team for the new body formed by its recent merger of data and measurement-driven media agency Essence and media network MediaCom. It includes Richard Mooney as Global Chief Data Officer.
The group says the new unit, combining the digital and data-driven DNA of Essence with MediaCom's multichannel, audience planning and strategic media expertise, will have 10,000 employees across 125 offices. Mooney (pictured) joined Essence in 2005 as Analyst, Media & Analytics, before moving to the role of Global COO in 2017 and then Global Chief Data & Technology Officer two years later.
He is now part a leadership team including Josh Krichefski as Global COO; Claire Camara as Global Chief People Officer; Charlotte Frijns as Global CFO; Sarah Walker as Global CMO; Frances Ralston-Good as Global Chief Transformation Officer; Ian Rotherham as Global Chief Growth Officer; and Matthew Mee as Global Chief Strategy Officer. In addition, Tim Irwin has been named EMEA CEO; Marina Gunther, LATAM CEO; and Rupert McPetrie, APAC CEO.
