Retail tech provider Virtual Store Trials (VST) has launched a solution called 'E-commerce Fixture Testing', which offers a virtual simulation of eCommerce sites and apps through which CPG brands can conduct tests.
Founded in 2016 by former dunnhumby exec Nick Theodore, London-based VST creates virtual stores to help retailers assess the at-shelf outcome of any assortment change. Its new product uses proprietary virtual environments, with thousands of real shoppers per test, to help brands measure the impact of changing product names, images, pricing, details, ad banners and customer ratings, without the need to launch in an actual retail site.
According to VST, the new product can get results on the same day. Theodore comments: 'Since we launched our virtual shelf testing product, clients have been asking us for the equivalent environments in eCommerce. We're now pleased to include this product in our suite of software solutions to get a holistic view of the grocery shopper'.
